Adoption

When it comes to adoption, there are many choices to consider: Will it be open or closed? Will it be private, or will you use an agency? These additional questions, on top of making a decision in your pregnancy, can lead to even more stress. That is why we want to help you answer those questions and assist you in making an adoption plan. There are many things to consider if you find yourself in any of these situations:
  • You aren’t quite ready to parent, but you also don’t want to seek an abortion
  • You want to provide your child with a 2-parent home
  • You want to provide your child with both emotional and financial stability

In adoptions today, you reserve the right of knowing your child and being a part of their life, should you so choose. This is called an open adoption, one of a few different options you have when considering if this might be the right path for both you and your child. You can have the peace of knowing your child is both loved and cared for by a couple you choose.

We also want to acknowledge that adoption can be a very difficult option to consider, and it is not one to be taken lightly. Carrying a child and turning it over to a different family can inflict emotional wounds, however, we want to be there for you and assist in whatever way you need. At the Pregnancy Resource Center, we can not only help you understand your options within adoption, we can help you understand and cope with the outcomes that come from choosing this path. We want to help because your emotions and feelings matter to us.
