After Abortion Support
We are here to help.
At the Pregnancy Resource Center, we have people ready to come alongside you as you make that next step in recovery. Our centers are equipped with staff and volunteers trained to help women and men recover from post abortion stress/trauma. We know that the trauma of abortion may leave you feeling depressed, anxious, or even like your relationships and world are falling apart. Through counseling and mentorship, we can assist you as you take the next step in your journey to recovery, reclaiming the parts of your life that feel wounded.
Our specially trained post-abortion support team is here to help you. We know that there are those who do not understand what abortion trauma can do to an individual, but we do, and we are here to help.
What does post-abortion trauma look like?
Post-abortion trauma can occur in both partners after an abortion. This is usually a result of unresolved emotions, thoughts, or even physical problems following an abortion procedure. Every person has their own experience, which means that each individual is subject to a unique set of symptoms. You have the right to work out and resolve your issues with someone trained to help. The goal of our post-abortion support program is to help support you, listen to you and equip you for everything that you need to find healing, forgiveness, and the ability to move forward.
Symptoms of post-abortion trauma can appear immediately or even decades after the abortion. You may not even recognize that your struggles are a result of the trauma of your abortion decision.
